Tomorrow, the stars go out!

I can’t quite believe I’m writing this…

When the Stars Go Out releases TOMORROW.

When I released To Fear the Stars, I was sending my very first novel out into the world and hoping readers would fall in love with these characters the way I had.

Then I started writing Book Two.

And apparently, I chose chaos. 😂

When the Stars Go Out gave me the chance to dig deeper into these characters, tell parts of the story through multiple POVs, uncover secrets I’d only hinted at before, and let some of my characters become a little more… unhinged.

Okay. Maybe a LOT more unhinged.

This book is darker. More emotional. More intense. There were scenes I couldn’t wait to write, scenes that surprised even me, and moments when I sat back from my computer and thought, Did I really just do that?

Yes. Yes, I did.

If To Fear the Stars made you question who Ashleigh should choose, When the Stars Go Out might make you question everyone.

There’s love. There’s obsession. There are secrets. There are consequences. And there are some red flags that are no longer politely waving in the distance. 🚩

One of my favorite parts of writing this book was getting inside the heads of characters readers thought they already knew. Seeing the story through different eyes changed everything—and gave me permission to take this story places I never could have in Book One.

I’ve already heard from early readers who called it gripping, emotional, and a page-turner, and knowing that people have connected with this story has meant more to me than I can put into words.

Tomorrow, it officially belongs to all of you.

To every reader who picked up To Fear the Stars…

To everyone who reviewed it, recommended it, shared a post, told a friend, came to see me at an event, or simply asked, “WHEN IS BOOK TWO COMING?”

Thank you.

Being an indie author means every single reader matters. Every review matters. Every recommendation matters. Every time someone chooses my book out of the thousands they could be reading, I’m incredibly grateful.

And now…

October 1, 2026 — When the Stars Go Out officially releases. ✨

If you thought Book One was a ride, buckle up.

Because the stars are about to go out.

And once they do?

You might finally see who everyone really is.
